Qualities of Any Micro-Processor

There are few points we should focus on to check the qualities of the Mirco-Processors:

1) Name : Name of the Micro-Processor
2) Date : Date of the Micro-Processor existence
3) Transistors : We get Micro-Processors as Chips in market. We should see the Transistors count on the Chip.
4) Microns : It shows the thickness of the deepest Wire.
5) Clock Speed : It shows highest clock rate of the Chip.
6) Data Width : It shows ALU's width.
7) MIPS : It shows CPU's capacity in terms of Million Instructions per second.

PROCESSOR-MICROPROCESSOR

MICROPROCESSOR

This is like heart of Computer. There are many categories of Microprocessors in Market. Now a days P-IV Series Pentium Processors are most demanding Processors in Market. Intel is the first company which started issuing Microprocessors in market. First Microprocessor 4004 Microprocessor of 4 bit was made by Intel in 1971. After this in 1974 first IBM Compatible, Intel 8088 8 Bit Processors came into market and People started using these processors in 1979. After this Same company launched 80280, 386, 486, P-1, P-II, P-III and then P-IV series microprocessors. These processors still have capability to run Original Code of 8088. In comparison to 8088 Microprocessor, today's demanding microprocessor P-IV works 5000 times.
